Severin originals, and goodbye from Hairy Green Eyeball

John Severin has been a favorite of mine for many years, and I've done several blogs featuring his art. These are examples of his original art, taken from the Heritage Auctions site.

I've dreaded doing this posting, because it's my last as Hairy Green Eyeball. For some time other obligations have been pressing on me, which makes getting together the material for this blog--even at a reduced frequency of twice a week--a problem.

I started with the original HAIRY GREEN EYEBALL blog in May, 2008. I've enjoyed doing it for over three years. Thanks for reading.

  1. I am amongst those who will be quite sorry to see your 'blog go. This has been one of the sites that I have visited nearly every day.

On the other hand, as a consumer of 'blogs (and as a producer of my own), I have always been aware — and hope that you have been aware — that your 'blog is a gift to us, rather than something owed. You may have conflicting obligations, but they are not really other obligations, as this 'blog was itself never an obligation.

I hope that life treats you well.
